The church was founded by Missionary Irene Gathoni back in the 1980s who's currently in the United States carrying out God's work. It began as a fellowship under a cashew nut tree. Members later managed to acquire a tent that was later burnt at that particular time. The church decided to erect a semi permanent structure,which exists now under Pastor Zakayo Musomba. To this day the church has leaders, deacons and members carrying out God's work under the senior pastor.
